One-Person Company (OPC) Registration

One-Person Company (OPC) Registration

One Person Company (OPC) registration in India was introduced under the Companies Act of 2013, enabling a individual to establish a company and enjoy the combined benefits of both a sole proprietorship and a traditional company structure. The introduction of OPC in the legal system is a move that would encourage corporatization of micro businesses and entrepreneurship. It is similar in respects to a private limited company with certain differences like fewer compliances and relaxation of certain restrictions. Thus, an OPC is subject to all the provisions of the Act like a private limited company unless expressly excluded.
